In photography, lighting and angled shots play a key and vital roll in producing great photographic results on a consistent basis. Lighting and it's proper application is known by many quality photographers. It is simply a question of what type of studio lights or photography lighting kits would produce the best photographs for there particular situation. Continous light or flash light, also referred to as strobe light.
Flash lighting or strobe flash lighting kits often times are used by professional photographers for producing 5600 Kelvin light temperature to simulate sunlight. These flash strobe studio lights and kits require that the photography lights themselves be synched timing wise with the photographers camera to flash in time with the shutter’s lens. Many of the flash lights for a studio do this via a slave sensor that is bulit into the back of the flash light. A photographer only has to synch his camera to one flash light, this timing will be transmitted to all of the the other flash lights and they will all flash together.
Continous photography lighting kits on the other hand operate much easier without synching them. There are two popular variations for continuous lighting to choose from, fluorescent and halogen studio lighting kits for both photography and video production. For a constant lighting source, continuous lighting offers photographers this with a flip of a switch until they are not needed.
Fluorescent kits for lighting in photography are much more energy efficienct than halogen kits because they use a lot less electricity to operate. For photography lights that are cool to the touch and produce no heat, fluorescent lighting is the answer. Not like hot lights or halogen studio lighting. Halogen bulbs will burn a little brighter than fluorescent but they create heat and use more electricity. With continuous lighting, this is something worth remembering when comparing the two for video or photography continuous lighting.
